Vision and Structure
Plan Active's vision is to be involved in town planning projects around the Western Cape, while promoting ethical planning, sustainability and viability through professional planning practices. Plan Active contributes towards enhanced urban and rural spaces with the aim of enhancing the quality of life of the local people. A thorough knowledge of town planning legislation, principles and guidelines together with comprehensive experience of more than 30 years is the substance of their approach.
Plan Active has offices in Hermanus, Bredasdorp and Montagu and therefore are ideally situated to offer their range of services to the surrounding municipal areas as well as the whole of the Western Cape. Plan Active started operating in the Overstrand region in 2005, but was formally established in 2007. Since 2007 the company has gone from strength to strength engaging in various successful projects in the Western Cape.
Expertise and Innovation
Plan Active is equipped with sophisticated computer software in order to provide an advanced service to clients. The company also has access to survey equipment and expertise, which broadens the scope of their capacity. Highly skilled staff personally attend to each potential development with extreme care and professionalism.

It is important to optimize the potential of each property through creative and innovative planning and design. The layout of low income and GAP housing developments is part of local development and the company often engages in the latter.
Plan Active is also well positioned to offer their service and expertise with agricultural developments including wine cellars, abattoirs, guest farms, additional dwellings and agricultural industries. The Western Cape is prime location for agri-tourism and resort facilities and Plan Active has successfully applied for various such developments in the Overstrand, the Breede River and Cape Agulhas regions.
